Clevedon Ladies secured a 3-0 victory against Avonmouth.
The home side quickly took control, with Lauren Bird and Libby Barzotelli maintaining a solid defence.
Ali Thomas was pivotal in creating opportunities for Clevedon’s attack, which paid off when Georgie Blackburn scored with a reverse stick shot.
Avonmouth struggled to break through, and their prospects dimmed further when Thomas fractured her hand while defending a short corner.
She is expected to miss most of the season.
Ellen Armstrong took over Thomas’ role as Clevedon finished the first half in control.
After the break, Vicky Ford extended the lead to 2-0 with a skilful play.
The pressure from Rosie Walker and Lucy Couzens was unrelenting, and Ford scored again, sealing the 3-0 victory.
Clevedon Ladies now prepare to face Lydney on Saturday, with the match starting at 2pm.
