Wrington Redhill clinched a thrilling victory in the County Cup away to Highridge United.
Last year, the same pitch was unplayable, but this time, it was in good shape, facilitating an exciting game.
Highridge, having won six out of their seven league games this season, started confidently and soon gained the lead.
An unfortunate misdirected header from Cody Parslow allowed Tommy Milkins to score.
Despite this, the match remained fairly balanced for a while.
Rob Hannah, Wrington's goalkeeper, managed a series of saves, while Chris Jones and Harrison Campbell kept the home defence busy.
Wrington Redhill's equaliser came just before half-time, thanks to a brilliant run and cross from Cody Parslow, which led to an own goal by Highridge's Brandon Marshall.
The second half saw Highridge regain the lead shortly after the break.
A well-taken corner kick from the left dropped to Milkins, who scored from close range.
However, demonstrating their trademark persistence, Wrington Redhill went in search of another equaliser.
This soon came about when Jack Hutchings scored after a blocked clearance by Weeks.
With the match nearing its end and heading towards a penalty shootout, Connor Harding-James flicked on a free kick for Hutchings to net his second goal, winning the match.
The visitors' supporters, including the former chairman, who jokingly offered a knighthood, praised the team's performance as they secured their place in the next round of the cup.
