Nailsea & Tickenham hammered Welton Rovers 7-1.

This was in the same week the club welcomed back record goal scorer Joe Berry from Nailsea United, while Welton Rovers parted ways with their third manager in six months.

Berry, 23, wasted no time making an impact, scoring in the second minute following a pass from Luke Osgood.

Three minutes later, the same duo repeated the act, with Berry scoring again to double the lead.

In the 38th minute, Berry cut in from the left wing and scored a right-footed shot into the far corner, completing his hat-trick.

Welton's Tyler Linton had briefly made the game interesting at 2-1 in the 30th minute with a right-foot shot into the corner of the net.

However, Nailsea continued to attack, and only a combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping from 17-year-old Freddie Harvey-Lamar kept the score down.

Charlie Oates intercepted and crossed for an unmarked Jake White to make it 4-1 before half-time.

Osgood's long throw was flicked on by fullback Andy Head, and after Steve Kingdon's header was blocked, Head scored from three yards out.

Nailsea's sustained pressure forced more saves from Harvey-Lamar.

Berry and Hardidge both hit the woodwork, and several missed chances kept the scoreline from becoming more lopsided.

In the 70th minute, Oscar Collins found the net with a volley from an Andy Head cross, leaving the keeper with no chance.

Substitute Seb Scott cut in from the right wing, and his low shot from 18 yards went through Harvey-Lamar's legs, making it 7-1 in the closing moments.

Welton Rovers now search for their fourth manager in six months as they continue to struggle.
