Past and present captains contested for the Morgan Trophy and the Hagley Trophy at Clevedon Golf Club.
The competition saw 11 former senior captains take on current senior captain Dave Stratford.
The Hagley Trophy, awarded to the Stableford winner on the day, was secured by Reg Wiles with 36 points, marking his fourth win in five years.
The Morgan Trophy, which can only be won once by a past captain, went to Roger Bird.
Ian Wyllie, Reg Wiles and Ian Saynor each won a sleeve of balls for being closest to the pin on a par three.
The event culminated in a two-course meal, where many golf stories were shared.
Toasts were made to absent friends, including Alan Wignall and Russell Jones, along with David Capon and Mike Parker, who were playing a match for their new club, Mendip Spring.
Former captain Peter Horlock also made a return for the day.
During the meal, a game was introduced where attendees guessed the birth years of other captains.
Interestingly, there were a couple of pre-World War II births and three born in 1947, all of whom regularly play a couple of rounds a week.
Current seniors captain Dave Stratford gave a brief overview of his tenure, highlighting the successes in the 30-odd matches he has organised to date.
He expressed his excitement about hosting next year's game and lunch.
