Portishead Town Ladies Reserves put newly relegated Middlezoy to the sword with an 11-0 victory.
Despite a host of new faces, the brand of football proved unchanged.
Posset started quickly when, in the opening five minutes, McGill’s kick was converted by Ella Howes.
Shortly after, Howes made it 2-0, finishing a placed Em Ashwin through ball.
A freshly substituted Ruffle popped in the third, the ball falling to her feet in the box after a Courtney Bean cross was knocked on by Kevie Jones.
Seren ‘the poacher’ Tucker made it four, pressuring the keeper and poking the ball home.
Two more quick goals before half-time: a cut-back pass from Jones slid into the net by Tucker, and a Bean finish from the penalty spot, brought the girls off positive, but not satisfied.
A calmer second half saw the ball move more easily, but it took a bit longer for the seventh to come.
Finally, Trounce found Tucker, who completed the first hat-trick of the game.
Portishead quickly took control of the half, and a cut-back ball from Howes out wide was converted by Ruffle – 8-0.
The ball then soared into the top corner from range; Ruffle signing off on her hat-trick, seconds before being substituted.
For 10-0, Hannah Sheehan cut the ball past her player and slotted it past the keeper, and the match finished with Howes’ third of the game; Jones holding off her opponent to play in the sixteen-year-old.
