Despite the warnings of poor weather over the weekend, Yatton Bowling Club hosted each of their scheduled games.
All matches continued as planned, including a tightly contested Ladies Handicap, regardless of forecasts of heavy rain.
Two of the club's newer faces, Elaine Miller and Tracy Burford, battled it out in the Ladies Handicap competition.
After an exhausting 26 ends of closely fought play, Elaine emerged as the victor, clinching victory by a very close measurement.
Results for the weekend's championship games also included a win for Justine Griffiths in Ladies Championship, while the Men's category was taken home by Andy Claxton.
The Betty Gilmour saw Alison Storm emerge victorious, with Tracy Burford as the runner-up.
Elaine Miller also bagged first place in the Wakefield championship, with Pauline Mabbutt coming in second place.
The Hazard competition was won by Andy Claxton, with Brian O'Dea coming in behind.
However, Brian O'Dea overcame the competition to win the Men's Fixed Jack trophy, while Ros Passingham won the Ladies Two Wood.
Men's Two Wood was taken by Trevor Storm, and he also claimed victory in the Men's Veterans.
The Men's Pairs had Kevin Gibbons and Trevor Storm as winners, with the Ladies Pairs title claimed by Julie Woodman and Jayne Richards.
The Mixed Pairs winners were Jayne Richards and Andy Wesson, while Pamela Gibbon and Trevor Storm came in second place.
