Nailsea and District Croquet Club (NDCC) are celebrating a successful week of competition after two impressive wins.
The club recently travelled to Glamorgan for a Federation League match, following up their recent win at Bristol with another victory, this time by 5-2.
This result against extremely strong opposition wrapped up the league season on a high note.
Particularly noteworthy was the performance of Roger Baddeley, a debutante at this level who won both his matches, and Graham McCausland, who countered his two-match loss at Bristol with two wins.
Next, NDCC hosted Cheltenham in the South West AC Intermediate League.
The morning session ended with honours even, Nailsea winning the doubles match and Cheltenham the singles.
However, in the hot and sunny afternoon session, the Nailsea team of Rob Royffe, Dave Clarke, and Roger Baddeley edged all three games, securing a 4-1 victory.
This win means Nailsea have won two out of the three league matches they have played in this competition.
Roger Baddeley said: "This means that we are still in the hunt for end of season honours, hopefully proudly bringing the trophy to Nailsea."
