Nailsea and Tickenham FC squeezed passed Cinderford Town in the FA Cup despite a red card and conceding a last-minute penalty.
The Swags travelled to face their Southern League opponents hoping to cause an upset.
New signing Shea Bennington-Mannings joined the squad, but injuries ruled out Olly Carter, captain Steve Kingdon and Jared Ford.
An even start to the match saw Jakob Glover, in goal for the Swags, make a good save to avert early danger.
Miles Hardidge threatened at the other end but the Cinderford defence held firm.
It was the Swags who took the lead on 15 minutes.
Charlie Saunders leapt above the crowd in the box to head the ball into the net, making it 1-0.
Glover made another save from Dale Evans, keeping the Swags in front, and Harry Walker went close from a free kick in a lively first half.
Cinderford pressed for an equaliser in the second half, but the back four, with great displays from Cook, Bishop, Manning, and Walker, held firm.
On 65 minutes, the Swags broke at pace.
Hardidge passed to Vowles, who set up Osgood one-on-one with the Cinderford keeper.
After his first attempt was saved, Osgood calmly slotted in the rebound to make it 2-0, sparking wild celebrations from the Swags dugout and travelling support.
However, the Swags faced severe pressure as Cinderford went direct at every opportunity.
Some heroic defending from the team was needed to block, head, and tackle.
Shea Mannings, now leading the line, could have added a third for the Swags on a break.
But Connor Saunders was shown a second yellow card and the Swags were down to 10 men.
Deep into stoppage time, an alleged handball in the box resulted in a penalty for Cinderford, which was dispatched to make the score 2-1.
Joint manager Jamie Smith said: "It was a brilliant afternoon for us; the lads raised the bar today in terms of togetherness, work rate, and attitude.
"As a management team we were very proud of the players and everyone can’t wait for the next round."
Man of the match was awarded to Nailsea and Tickenham's Dan Cook.
Nailsea and Tickenham FC will now face Reading City FC in the next round of the FA Cup on August 17.
