In a busy week for Congresbury Bowls Club, they secured second place in the Britannia Windows Evening League with a win at Clevedon Prom.
Needing 1 ½ points to clinch the spot, the team hauled in 7.5 out of a possible nine.
The rink of Broom, Wear, Eastment & Shipway pulled ahead early, maintaining their advantage with a compelling 24-11 victory.
The rink of Powell, Baker, Lewis and Birmingham boosted the tally with a 22-14 win.
Overall, Congresbury demonstrated dominance with only one rink losing and a further triumph plus a draw.
Across nine total matches during the week, notable performances included Congresbury beating Banwell in the Somerset County League North 2 with 60 points to 58, getting 9 points.
There were fewer successes in the Wessex Ladies League, with two 2-point stays against North Petherton and Clevedon Prom, while they gathered a decent 3 points in a match with Clarence in the WDLL.
