Portishead Town FC have revealed their new kit for the 2024/25 season this week, along with their new performance partnership with local sports supplement company G Force Supplements.
Portishead’s first team are coming off the back of one of the club’s most successful seasons in their 112-year history and now sit higher in the English football pyramid than ever before.
Having dominated Division One of the Jewson Western League last season and securing promotion to the Premier Division the club is now looking to progress further with the help of local sponsors like G Force.
G Force have sponsored the club’s new black and white strip, which now features the company’s ‘G’ logo in gold on the back, and will also be operating as the club’s new performance partner to try and help improve play on the pitch.
The natural alternative supplements company will aid squad members throughout the season and offer their advice and products to boost performance and recovery.
The collaboration between the two Portishead-based entities comes in the club’s most successful period ever and junior chairman Nigel Osmond hopes it’s a trend that continues.
He said: “PTFC is on a crest of a wave at the moment. We have a new community 4G pitch months away which will unite the town and the juniors.
“Our Ladies first team are in the national 4th Division; our Men’s first team have just gained promotion and are in the highest league in the history of the club but the most satisfying thing for me is the way local businesses have come forward with unbelievable support for the club.
“We pride ourselves on keeping everything as local as we can and we were overwhelmed when G FORCE SUPPLEMENTS came forward with a fantastic sponsorship offer. Long may this continue.”
Director of Football at Portishead Jamie Hughes added: “With many changes around the club in the last few years and the buy in from many volunteers our club is realising success at all levels.
“The key to ongoing and further success for the club is the buy in from local community business partners in the sponsorship, and the investment and skill set they can offer and bring in.
“I was lucky enough to be introduced to Gus and his passion for his business, his football knowledge and the purpose of his business was a partnership already made!”
Gus Belgard, CEO of G Force Supplements and former semi-pro footballer, also added: “I've lived in the town after moving out of Bristol almost three years ago, it feels like home.
“Recently there's been a huge buzz around the football club in the town, it really feels like exciting things are happening down there and I wanted to play a part in helping the club achieve.
“We've had some exciting news this year gaining support from investors, and it is the icing on the cake to be able to support PTFC and the community.
“The sky is the limit for Portishead Town, and I look forward to supporting them through G Force for this season and beyond.”
