Portishead Town FC striker Ethan Feltham has had a goalscoring season so good that even Messi and Ronaldo can't keep up.
Posset won the First Division of the Toolstation Western League despite their recent 2-0 loss to Hallen AFC, and their total of 122 goals scored was largely contributed to by Feltham and his 55-goal season.
Feltham's goals came in only 37 games, making his goal to game ratio for the season a staggering 1.49 goals/game.
The numbers are hard to comprehend, in fact they’re so great that they match up with some of the best professional seasons of all time.
In his most prolific league campaign ever, 2011/12, Lionel Messi scored 50 La Liga goals in 37 games leaving him on a measly ratio of 1.35.
Eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo managed a ratio of 1.37 after scoring 48 in 35 games during his most efficient season ever, 2014/15, and when Erling Haaland broke the Premier League scoring record last season, he had a ratio of just 1.02.
The comparisons show just how good Feltham has been this season, and unlike the other nobodies, he’s been doing it on cold, rainy nights in North Somerset.
