Portishead Town are in action Tuesday night away to Wells City as they look to continue their charge towards the title in Division 1 of the Toolstation Western League.
Posset currently sit top of the table on 84 points with six games to play whilst nearest challengers Radstock Town sit three points below them with only four games to play, putting the North Somerset team in the driver’s seat as the season comes to a close.
They now take on Wells City on April 16th, who are still on the cusp of playoffs in sixth position and will be wanting a win to move them up the table.
Portishead do into the fixture on a three-game winning streak and will be confident having won those three games at an aggregate of 12 goals to one, but will be wary of a Wells team who put two goals past them despite the 4-2 victory.
Ethan Feltham will also be looking to hit an impressive milestone in the game.
The prolific Portishead striker is on 49 goals for the season, having already broken his club’s single season goal scoring record he will now be looking to surpass the illustrious half a century mark.
Wells have their own talisman in front of goal though, forward Harry Warwick is on an impressive 29 goals for the season, and with both teams looking for vital points during the business end of the season, there’s sure to be some goals in store at the Wells City Athletic Ground.
