Play has been postponed at Portishead Bowling Club until at least April 20th, but there’s still chances to get involved with the club before the bowling commences in their upcoming open day.
The two outdoor bowling greens at the Portishead club were due to open April 13th, but due to heavy rainfall over the past month they’ve been deemed unplayable.
The clubhouse will be open as usual but all matches scheduled up until April 20th have been cancelled, with further ground inspections scheduled regularly to make sure that play will be commencing as soon as possible at the North Somerset club.
Portishead Bowling are also hosting an open day on April 28th from 10am to 3pm.
It will be an opportunity for old and new players to get involved with the sport and the club, whose members will be present with both equipment and bowling advice for anyone who needs it.
The only requirement for attendees is to wear flat soled shoes.
If you can’t make the open day on the 28th members of the club meet every Monday morning at 10am, and welcome any non-members to attend and get involved in any way they’d like.
