Clevedon Town can go to the top of the table if they beat fellow title contenders Falmouth Town on their trip down to the Cornish coast, as they go into the game one point below league leaders Helston.
The Seasiders go into the game second in the table and two points above the third place Falmouth, but both teams are on red hot form and looking to make a charge for the title setting the scene for an entertaining match up.
Clevedon are unbeaten in their last seven games and will take confidence from their recent 1-0 win over local rivals Bridgwater United, but Falmouth have won all eight of their last eight games, proving themselves to be the most in from team in the league right now, at least on paper.
The stats are also strikingly similar between the two teams this season.
They are the two best defensive teams in the league, Clevedon have scored 66 goals to Falmouth’s 69, Clevedon have conceded 20 goals to Falmouth’s 21, and both teams have three players on double digit goal tallies for the season.
Although the last game between the two sides ended in a goalless draw, this fixture at the business end of the season promises to deliver an exciting, potentially title deciding match up.
Clevedon manager Alex White said: “After a big win against Bridgewater on Monday, Falmouth is an even bigger game and looks really tasty.
“It’s a great ground to play at and a real top of the table clash.
“When you play sides around you like that, first it’s important not to lose because they are proverbial six pointers.
“It will be a big occasion with a big, noisy home crowd, and it will be great fun!”
Kick off will be 3pm April 6 at Falmouth Town AFC.
