Nailsea and Tickenham FC have announced the appointment of Charlotte Dando as their new Club Welfare Officer.
Dando is well qualified for the job and will take immediate responsibility in the role for the Western League Premier Division team.
Chairman of Nailsea & Tickenham FC Rob Gregory said: “We are delighted to get Charlie onboard in this very important role, especially as we have recently announced our new U18’s team for the forthcoming season.
“The position will ensure that we provide safeguarding and protection for the young players in our youth team as they progress towards the senior game and that Charlotte will be the focal point person for players and parents alike to offer support on any issues that may arise.
“In addition to this and with mental health being so much in the news, Charlotte will be there for our younger personnel and potential vulnerable adults within our club.
“Charlie has had previous Football club involvement with Ashton & Backwell United FC and is a great addition to our tremendous growing team of volunteers who are continuously striving to enhance and further establish our position as a real community club.
"We will of course all play our part in offering Charlie help and support in her new role and wish her every success.”
