James Galpin of Nailsea and District Croquet Club has returned to the UK with a top trophy.
James won the New Zealand Golf Croquet Open Doubles. It was hosted at the Mount Maunganui Croquet Club, NZ, on the 8th to 9th of January 2024. He was partnered by New Zealander Paul Kaiser.
James and Paul only lost one match in the whole tournament, dropping a game in the first block. After that they won every game they played! Clearly, with such success, the trophy was theirs.

Nailsea has a vibrant croquet club, where James learned to play as a junior. He has gone on to bring several international trophies back to the club.
With the new season starting in April, members are excited to see James and other top players on the Nailsea lawns.
