Nailsea & Tickenham's Jaden Neale became the club's youngest ever player aged 16 years and one day as the Swags were beaten 3-2 by Saltash United in the Toolstation Western League Premier last Saturday.
The teenager came on in the second half for Luke Osgood.
The opening stages were even, with end to end football being played and half chances for both sides. Callum Dunn went through and saw his effort well saved.
But it was the hosts who took the lead after a near finish inside the box by Jordan Ewing. The Swags regrouped and striker Lucas Vowles struck an excellent free kick into the top corner to make it 1-1 after Dunn was fouled on the edge of the box.
Shortly before half-time Nailsea & Tickenham took the lead when Vowles poked in from close range after being the first to meet the ball from a corner.
Jared Ford had a controversial goal ruled out for offside before the Ashes grabbed a deserving equalising goal through Ewing after neat play on the right left goalkeeper Sam West with no chance.
With continued pressure the home side struck a winner late on through Joe Preece to seal the points.
Nailsea & Tickenham return to action this Saturday at Brislington in the FA Vase.
