Nailsea Ladies ended their Brunel 1 season by edging a seven-goal 4-3 against Weston Ladies last Saturday.
Rearranged from January, the game would decide who would take fourth position in the league.
Natalie Provis stretched to sweep past Weston goalkeeper Lucy Smale to put Nailsea ahead.
Weston levelled the scores after the ball played around the top of the D from a penalty corner and Clifford struck a firm shot under the boot of unsighted goalkeeper Katie Matthews.
Nailsea took the lead after Hole created space and slammed the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1 at half-time.
The game continued with a spell of end to end open play, until Weston made a run at the back peddling defence and scored through Georgia Dale.
Hole put Nailsea back in front when she fired a shot into the corner before Lois Pinkney calmly slotted home on the far post to make it 4-2
With 15 minutes left to play Weston were not going to let this game go without a fight.
Dale was left unchallenged at the top of the D, to reduce the arrears with a solid strike but Nailsea held firm to win the match.
