Clevedon Athletics Club had two club members excel both at home and abroad recently.
New member Steve Lambert, who was representing the club for the first time, was in Spain for the Valencia Half Marathon.
He travelled a few days before to acclimatise and despite the hilly course Lambert really enjoyed the event
Lambert went on to finish in a superb time of 2:04:11 and is keen to keep improving his half marathon time with the help of regular club training and targeted sessions.
Jemma Lewis was back on the marathon start line after a three-year break at the popular Abingdon Marathon in Oxfordshire.
A first-class event, with a small field of runners, saw the race celebrate their 40th anniversary and Lewis completed the distance in a great time of 3:34:14.
Entries are open for the Boxing Day Junior and Senior Races - please visit Clevedon AC's website to enter online to secure your place.
