Clevedon Ladies twice fought from behind to come away with a 2-2 draw at Avonmouth in the West Women's Brunel Division 2 on Saturday.
Clevedon's regular goalkeepers were unavailable for the game, so midfielder Ella Davey gallantly donned the kit.
The opening half was fast and competitive with Louise Wiseman and Eliza Barzotelli keeping Clevedon on the front foot, Avonmouth, however, gradually worked their way back into the game.
Davey made some good saves but was unable to stop a powerfully hit shot which gave the home side a 1-0 interval lead.
Clevedon upped the ante in the second half by playing without a goalkeeper, allowing Davey to assume her normal role.
Davey played some superb passing, one picking out Georgina Blackburn, who nearly converted, Hannah Becker's speed and power tested Avonmouth defenders before Vicky Ford ghosted in to power home Clevedon's equaliser.
At the back Clevedon's defence was superbly marshalled by Libby Barzotelli but Avonmouth's pressure eventually told as Avonmouth regained the lead.
Helen LeFevre went close before a beautiful strike from a short corner from Julie O'Sullivan capped a fine display with the equaliser.
Clevedon are next in action on November 5 at Bristol Ladies at 10.30am.
