Nailsea Ladies firsts and seconds had a day to remember with both sides claiming wins over BAC seconds and North Somerset Gryphons thirds last Saturday.
Nailsea attacked from the start against BACS, forcing a penalty corner five minutes in, a slip to Zoe Pople who stuck cleanly inside the left post.
Nailsea made it two after a quick one-two between Hole and Natalie Provis and with the goalkeeper wrong-footed Provis slotted home.
When BACs got in behind Nailsea defenders and goalkeeper Katie Matthews held firm.
A shot on target by Gee Corner was kicked away before she had a second chance from a pass by Ellie Holdaway to give Nailsea a 3-0 lead.
Another penalty corner overturned by front runner Amy Ashley, saw Nailsea on a break with Holdaway streaking through midfield to pick up and score.
Then an attack in open play left Hole to beat a defender to fire beyond the keepers reach and make it 5-0. In the final minutes of the game Matthews, made several great saves throughout the game was called upon to pull out a tremendous diving save to keep a clean sheet.
At North Somerset Gryphons thirds, Nailsea Seconds had to adapt to a different set of players but the midfield consisting of Jess Chapman, Bernie Forge, Sarah Richardson and Laurie Dewer combined well to support both attack and defence.
Despite Nailsea having the upper hand they were unable to score. Some great defensive penalty corners meant Nailsea were able to keep a clean sheet, leaving it all level at the turnaround.
Working better as a team, Nailsea became more creative and determined. An early attack found Megan Richardson in perfect position only to see her shot go inches wide.
However, Abi Smith surged forward and her pass found Forge who put Nailsea in the lead.
In reply North Somerset forced an attack with a powerful strike from the top of the D heading on target. An amazing reflex action saw goalkeeper Laura Wains-Pople tipped it wide with her stick at shoulder height.
At the other end in the final minutes goalkeeper Maz Craig also pulled of a great diving save when it looked certain Nailsea was about to increase their lead as the visitors secured the victory.
