A local athletics club have asked people to get in touch as they look to increase their support team moving forward.
North Somerset Athletics Club are looking for fans of athletics, those with ability working with children, and anyone who would like to make a difference volunteering in grassroots sport.
North Somerset, who are south west athletic club of the year, coach 350 plus children from aged over eight including Internationals and National medallists at Clevedon School, with sessions at both Nailsea and Priory School.
The Athletics Club want to bring in a lead coach and assistant coaches for their at Priory sessions on Wednesdays for children between the age of eight and 11 and 12 to 18. North Somerset hope to recruit this role this side of Christmas.
They also want assistant coaches at their Nailsea session on Mondays between the ages of eight and 11, lead coaches for high jump and/or javelin and support coaches for all events at Clevedon for anyone between the age 12-18.
The club also want to individuals to train as officials to support our competition teams and welcome any support in any other areas including administration, committee and social media. All courses are paid for and expenses covered.
