Portishead Running Club has been very active recently, with members competing the in the London Marathon and Cardiff Half Marathon.
Pascal Coulon was the first athlete to finish the London Marathon with a superb time of 4:45:58.
He did the virtual London marathon and was supported by the running club, either clapping or running part of the route with him.
Coulon finished the event with his family holding a banner when he crossed the virtual finish line.
Teresa Ellis was next to cross the line with another excellent time of 5:21:35
Ellis had be in London on the day of the marathon and couldn't do the event in person, so did it virtually instead.
Ellis got up at 4am to go to London and was back in Portishead by 4pm. A little after 9pm Ellis completed the virtual London.
Another member Renee Barret came home with a fantastic time of 7:51:57.
In Cardiff Daniel Halstead finished in a wonderful time of 1:37:00.
Portishead Running Club (PRC) raced the local Gig rowing club from Portishead Pier to the sailing club and back.
This is the second year the event has taken place and it was the Gig Club who managed to avenge their defeat from last year, pipping Portishead by one minute.
