Nailsea & Backwell got back to winning ways with a 29-21 success over Stothert & Pitt.

The Ravens fell behind as Fraser Hayes touched down for a try, converted from out wide by Rowan Coombs.

But man of the match Cory Love went through a gap to go under the posts in reply, with Joe Reed converting.

Joe Murray went over from a maul to make it 12-7 at the break, but a converted Ryan Barrow try was answered by Hayes to make it 19-14.

Reed added a penalty to put the Ravens an eight points up but Stothert continued to run from the multiple penalties conceded by Nailsea.

Two yellow cards left the hosts down to 13 men and Parimal Srethsa went over to cut the gap to one.

Stand-in captain Dickie Palmer took it upon himself to go over from a pick and go to complete the scoring and earn Nailsea a four-try bonus point win, while denying the visitors a losing point.

The seconds beat Hornets 41-10 with captain Jack Charman scoring one of their seven tries as Sam Bramhall was named man of the match.
