Clevedon Athletic Club members Jo Gallagher and Fran Rawlings braved the wind and rain last weekend as the pair starred in different races.
Gallagher represented Clevedon in the South West Veterans Cross Country Championships, an event for runners aged 35 and over.
Gallagher loves the challenge of good cross country competition and had a very successful result around the three lap course as she finished in a very respectable 13th place to take home the first Lady trophy.
Rawlings headed to Windsor to take part in the Dorney Lake Half Marathon.
The conditions made for a test of endurance and Fran battled well against the wind, crossing the line in 1:28:40 and achieving second Lady and first 40 positions.
Clevedon AC run regularly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and provide structured, all inclusive training sessions. New members are always welcome - please contact the club via their Facebook page for more information.
