Clevedon Foodbank has received a generous donation from Clevedon School after a successful fundraising campaign.
Clevedon School organised a Christmas tree sale and also took donations through its mobile coffee van, named Hector by students.
The academy's headteacher, Jim Smith, was pleased that it was once again able to support the Foodbank during a particularly challenging year.
Mr Smith said: "I am delighted that we are able to support Clevedon Foodbank again this year.
“Following this huge success, we are looking forward to doing the event next year and again supporting this brilliant charity.”
In total, £500 was raised from selling locally-grown Christmas trees and later donated to the charity, which was grateful for the support.
Clevedon Foodbank has pledged to support school children during the Christmas period - requesting tea, sponge puddings, and shampoo from anyone who wants to donate.
