A SERIES of temporary road closures will be in place during the Clevedon Boxing Day road race 2024.
These closures are part of a rolling road closure system, meaning that the closures will only be in effect while the race is taking place, and will be clearly marked with signs and cones, Clevedon Town Council said.
Rolling closures will be in place on December 26, from 9am to 12.30pm.
Here is the list of the roads affected: Old Church Road, The Triangle, Old Street, Walton Road, Holly Lane, Castle Road, Wellington Terrace, Marine Parade, The Beach, Elton Road.
Side roads will be closed to vehicles accessing the race route during the race hours.
Police, fire, ambulance, and statutory undertaker vehicles will have access during the closure.
Where possible, residents will have access to properties along the affected routes.
Accredited marshals will be on site to direct traffic as needed.
The Junior race is open to 6-14 year olds and starts at 10.15am. The senior race is for ages 15+ and starts at 11am
