A SUSHI kiosk is set to open inside the Waitrose in Portishead.
Sushi Daily, which serves handmade sushi to supermarket customers, will open next Tuesday (3 December).
It will be replacing the Mai Taiko store, which was previously based in the supermarket, though with some of the same staff.
The new manager of the store, Jing Wang, also known as Emma, said she is hoping the kiosk gets a positive reaction from Portishead locals
“I am really honoured to take the opportunity of opening a Sushi Daily in Portishead,” she said. “Our sushi is made by hand fresh each day, and very good quality, so I’m just hoping everyone loves it.”
Emma will be moving to Portishead for the first time, and said she was very excited to settle there when she heard the store was opening a new kiosk.
Sushi Daily has a partnership with Waitrose, and is a feature in supermarkets up and down the country.
The chain has over 1000 kiosks worldwide, mostly in supermarkets and travel hubs, where “highly skilled and creative Sushi Artisans” make fresh sushi in front of customers’ eyes.
