Nailsea Choral Society is celebrating its 100th year with a show at Nailsea Methodist Church on 7 December.
The show, which has already sold out, will feature a performance of Handel's Messiah by the Charivari Agréable Baroque Orchestra.
Among the array of talent that will be performing are two soloists, Charlotte Mobbs and Marcus Evans, who both grew up in Nailsea.
Charlotte, who will be singing the soprano, attended Nailsea School and sang at Christ Church choir, as well as studying singing with Gill Atkinson.
Since leaving Nailsea she has had the opportunity to perform with some of the country’s best choirs and travel all over the world.
Marcus also attended Nailsea School, and began his musical career playing the piano and cello, moving onto singing while at university.
Despite working in Bristol, he has remained in North Somerset, living in Portishead with his wife and two young sons.
The Nailsea Choral Society dates back to 1925. It encourages anyone to join but says that an ability to read music is useful.
