A Portishead nursery spent a week raising money for Children in Need, with activities including a raffle, a cake sale and pyjama day.
The Nursery in Portishead’s Combe Road managed to raise £450 for disadvantaged children across the country.
Sarah Llewellyn, the manager at The Nursery, stressed the importance of getting children involved in helping those less fortunate than them.
"We feel it's important for the whole nursery, including the children, to get involved in Children in Need,” she said.
“It's good for our nursery children to learn that not everyone is as fortunate as we are and learn about giving to and helping others."
Sarah said the children had a lot of fun during the activities, where they got to eat biscuits and go to nursery in their pyjamas.
"The children had so much fun. They especially enjoyed icing our Children in Need biscuits and eating them of course.”
“However, the highlight of the week for them was probably the pyjama day as they thought it was hilarious to come to nursery in their PJs."
Children In Need is a BBC scheme which currently funds nearly 1,500 charities and children’s projects across the UK, including family centres, community spaces, youth clubs and refuges, homeless shelters, hospices and helplines.
It hosted its annual live show on Friday (15 November), which raised a total of £39,210,850.
