THE whole of the South West has been hit by a yellow weather warning today after reports of possible snow in the area.
The Met Office has confirmed today (November 19) that people in the South West region need to be careful due to icy patches, which are expected to form this evening and overnight.
The yellow weather warning for the South West only includes ice, whereas other regions up north, including much of South Wales, should expect snow and ice.
The Met Office states that people should expect some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, and some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

There is a small chance of up to 10cm (4in) of snow settling at lower levels, which could prove disruptive, forecasters said.
What does the yellow warning mean?
Many people will be able to continue with their daily routine, but there will be some that will be directly impacted.
Other yellow warnings are issued when the weather could bring much more severe impacts to the majority of people but the certainty of those impacts occurring is much lower.
It is safer not to drive in icy conditions, but if you absolutely must drive, the Met Office has recommended some ways to keep you safe:
- Look well ahead for potential hazards and keep your speed down.
- Accelerating, braking, steering and changing gear as smoothly as possible to reduce the risk of a skid.
- Using a higher gear may be more appropriate to help grip on packed ice.
- Using a higher gear helps manage engine power making it easier to find traction.
Speaking about the forecast for the South West region, a spokesperson from the Met Office said: "Rain, sleet and snow will continue to clear southwards across England and Wales with clearing skies to follow.
"Temperatures are expected to fall below or close to freezing quite widely across the warning area with icy patches forming on untreated freezing surfaces.
"Over the next two nights expect temperatures to drop and be colder than recent nights with a frost developing inland by dawn.
"The minimum temperature for the region is forecasted as -1 °C."
