CADBURY Hall in Yatton commemorated the signing of the Armistice Day agreement on the day that the guns finally fell silent.
On November 11 they joined the rest of the United Kingdom in holding a two-minute silence.
As well as marking Armistice Day by wearing poppies and observing the national two minute silence, residents took part in therapeutic activities.
They included making a Poppy Wreath, a talk by Resident Dr Ellis about his father's service and achievements in World War 1 and a morning of Remembrance and war time music by local musician Elizabeth Glenn.
Residents also joined Yatton Primary School year 6 students to lay wreaths and remembrance crosses at the War Memorial Yatton in Conjunction with The Royal British Legion.
Audrene Abrigo, general manager at Yatton Hall, said: “We have many residents with personal ties to the military and many who have experienced conflict either at home or abroad so it was important to us to mark November 11 and honour the contribution of everyone involved in the World Wars and in subsequent conflicts.
“November 11, was not only about honouring those who have fallen, but also those who lived through it.”
