Labour Party volunteers engaged with the public at Nailsea market on November 16.
Their stall, themed 'We listened to you and this is what we did,' aimed to demonstrate how the Labour Government's budget would benefit residents.
Volunteers highlighted the party's commitment to addressing the NHS, social care, climate change, housing, the local economy, and education.
Residents voted for the most impressive policy, with the £2.3 billion investment in schools, including the hiring of 6,500 extra teachers, emerging as favourite.
Other popular policies included a £45 weekly increase in carer's allowance and a £26 billion cash boost for the NHS.
Residents also expressed concerns about local issues, such as access to Nailsea and Backwell train station for disabled people, the potential closure of Nailsea Post Office, and the future of the Portishead rail line.
Sadik Al-Hassan MP said: "Sadly, we all know transport infrastructure in North Somerset is lacking.
"I have been working hard with the Department for Transport to help deliver these vital upgrades.
"The threat of closure of the Nailsea Post Office is also a great concern; since the announcement, I have asked the Post Office and the Communication Workers Union for urgent talks to avoid this outcome."
