THE Yeo Valley Lions’ Santa float will hit the road again this Christmas.
The group has a list of several Christmas-themed events which will start on November 30.
A spokesperson said: “Wherever you live in and around Claverham, Cleeve, Congresbury, Langford, Wrington or Yatton, please watch out for our Christmas programme which will be dropping through your letterbox in late November/early December with details of when Father Christmas will be visiting your area.
“Please support these collections and help us make life that bit easier for others in our locality who aren’t as fortunate as maybe we are.
“We’ll also be helping Father Christmas get to St Mary's Church Fayre at 10.30am on November 30 and to our own Carol Service in Yatton precinct at 5pm on December 14, as well as supporting the local Alzheimer's group carol service, hosting coffee mornings and our lunch club (which will undoubtedly have a Christmas twist), and running our usual minibus shopping trips.
“We're a community minded club, not just during December but throughout the year, and we've been part of the local scene since 1968.
“We're part of Lions Clubs International, a worldwide organisation with over 1.4 million members in almost 200 countries.
“At the moment we are actively looking for new members, people who share our values and want to make Yatton and the local area a better place for everyone irrespective of religion, age, colour, income or ability.
“If you're thinking 'that sounds like me', who knows, it might well be. Please get in touch with me for a 'no obligation' chat at a time and place to suit you.”
