James Packman, rector of the Holy Trinity Church, led the ceremony with a moving speech about the need for peace in today's world.
A wreath was laid by councillor James Tonkin, chair of Nailsea Town Council along with wreaths from other groups.
Wreaths were laid by Nailsea Air Cadets. Nailsea Army Cadets, 1st and 2nd Nailsea Scouts, Nailsea Guides, Avon Fire Service, Nailsea Police, Councillor James Tonkin, Chair of Nailsea Town Council, SW Lions and Nailsea & Backwell Rotary Club.
This parade included members of the Army and Navy Cadets, Scouts, Beavers, Guides and Brownies with the Brass Band of the 2nd Nailsea Scouts leading the march.
The procession started at the Scout Hut, on Hannah More Road at 10.15am and finished at the Holy Trinity Church on Church Lane, for wreath-laying.
Jo Duffy, clerk of Nailsea Town Council said: “I would like to say on behalf of Nailsea Town Council a big thank you to all the volunteers and council staff who helped and made this such a successful and emotional parade.
"Big thanks to Andy and his team at Wales and West Utilities helping to expedite the works and allow access to the parade along the normal route.“
