Portishead's Christmas Lights have received a £1,000 boost from F H Halliday & Son.
The donation will go towards the festive display that covers the town every December.
The family-run funeral directors, who have been part of the town for more than 140 years, have been supporting the lights for many years.
Glyn and Helen Lawrence, who are part of the Halliday family that started the business in the 1880s, are avid supporters of the annual lights display.
Mr Lawrence said: "I can remember my father Edward Lawrence actively helping to put the lights up each year.
"In the 1960s we used to allow the electricity board to park in our yard when they erected the lights and we are very pleased to still be supporting the fantastic display today."
As Ms Lawrence and son Harvey, who also works for the firm, handed lights treasurer Bryan Pycroft a cheque for £1,000, he said: "At F H Halliday we feel it’s important to give back to the community we serve and donating to the lights is one of many ways we do this, I’ve even volunteered to help put the lights up if they need any more volunteers.
"We are very grateful to all the members of the lights teams who ensure we have a mile or more of coloured bulbs shining throughout December each year, they are a credit to all involved."
Mr Pycroft thanked them, and the F H Halliday team for the generous donation.
He said: "It costs more and more each year to keep the Portishead Christmas lights shining and we are only able to do this thanks to donations like this, a vital town council grant and our fundraising activities.
"A big thank you Hallidays and to everyone who contributes in any way."
