A popular pop rock band has been announced as the headline act for a charity music festival.
The Hoosiers will be headlining the Test Fest Music Festival 2025, which is set to take place at Taunton Rugby Club on June 21.
The festival, organised by It’s in the Bag Cancer Support, is the only festival in the UK and possibly the world with the aim of raising awareness for testicular cancer.
The Hoosiers, best known for their hits 'Goodbye Mr A' and 'Worried About Ray', have been a staple in the indie music scene since they formed in 2003.
They will be headlining the festival that raises money for the charity, which supports men with testicular cancer, encourages early detection, and celebrates the 96 per cent survival rate of this type of cancer.
Charity founder and event organiser Sue Brand said: "2025 is It’s in the Bag’s 10th birthday as an independent charity and what a great way to celebrate with The Hoosiers being our headline.
"There are a few more exciting bands and artists to come, so don’t miss out on tickets.
"This year more than any we encourage you to buy early."
The Hoosiers will be headlining the festival on June 21 as part of their The Illusion of Safety 15-year anniversary tour.
The festival, which has been recognised in the UK Festival Awards, Stand Out Magazine, and BISFF Film Awards, aims to attract attendees from all over the South West.
The event will offer a typical festival experience with music, food, drinks, and merchandise, while also promoting the importance of self-checking and providing information about the charity's work.
Many survivors and their families are also expected to attend, creating a supportive community for those who have had treatment, have been recently diagnosed, or are still receiving treatment.
Ms Brand added: "This is like a mini testicular cancer family and seeing those great conversations tell us that we are doing the right thing.
"Come along and join the fun, with a health message too."
