A Portbury mum has released a new children's book.
Linda Wright has always written stories for both her daughters and grandchildren, and has decided to turn some of them into a book, Mischief Wood.
She hopes that it is something they could read to their own children.
Ms Wright said: "I strongly believe that to read to a child is as important as a child being taught to read.
"These are precious moments that should be enjoyed by both adults and children.
"Two of my grandchildren have dyslexia and I didn't want them to miss out so I have made Mischief Wood dyslexia-friendly."
The book tells of three sisters unable to get back to their kingdom, who find sanctuary in their nan's garden.
She decides to purchase the woodland next to her home to protect the creatures around her from development.
