NAILSEA Town Council will host Nailsea Town Residents Meeting, Thursday, November 7 2024 which will also be attended by MP Sadik Al-Hassan.

Doors open at 7pm, meeting starts at 7.30pm, at The Function Room, The Grove Sports Centre and Social Club, St Mary’s Grove, Nailsea, North Somerset, BS48 4NQ.

All town and parish councils are required to hold an annual town/parish meeting, between March 1 and June 1 each year.

This year Nailsea Town Council are holding two such meetings. The last one being held in May 2024.

This is not a Council meeting, but rather an opportunity for residents living within the Nailsea Town Council area to come along and find out more about what the council have achieved so far, and to have their say.

The chair of Nailsea Town Council Cllr James Tonkin will host.

There will be a talk by Sadik Al-Hassan, MP for North Somerset with a chance for comments and questions from the public.

Nailsea Town Councillors will hold an Exhibition of the work of the committees below and for Nailsea Town Residents to give feedback at the event to them.

1. Welcome – Cllr James Tonkin, Chair of Nailsea Town Council

4. Any other business and an opportunity to look at the Exhibition of the work of the committees

The meeting is open to all. Doors open at 7pm, with the meeting scheduled to start at 7.30pm.

Refreshments will be available at the bar.

A crucial element of the meeting is the 40-minute interactive segment for the receipt and answering of questions and comments from members of the public.

It would be helpful if the members of the public can submit these in advance if at all possible, so, that we can provide answers on the night.

If this is not possible then questions can be asked directly by the public on the night during the public question time session.
