A HOUSE in Pill could be knocked down to build two more in its place.
Plans submitted to North Somerset Council by Mr M Penketh seek planning permission to demolish 16 the Moorings to build two four-bedroom homes on the site.
The new homes would be mirror images of each other.
A statement submitted with the planning application (reference number 24/P/1974/FUL) said: “The development seeks to make the best use of the site by providing two houses in place of one within the curtilage of the site.
“The host curtilage is substantial in size and warrants a development of this nature.
“The site is within a predominantly residential area, with the residential properties on The Moorings characterised by detached dwellings.
“The site is close to the defined local centre of Pill, which is in walking distance from the site. This offers a full range of services and facilities.
“The site is a walking distance to Pill’s primary and secondary schools (Crockerne and St Katherine’s respectively).
“There are several pubs in walking distance (Kings Head, Star, The Old Duke), as well as a doctor’s surgery.
“The two dwellings proposed would be detached with four bedrooms, and have individual driveways from the highway.
“Each dwelling would have onsite parking for three cars, along with adequate bin and bike storage.”
