THIS week, the Portbury Hundred, the main artery out of Portishead, was closed overnight.
I can see that they have done the lighting near the motorway roundabout but surely this would also have been the time for North Somerset highways to trim back the over hanging trees, cut back the banks, clear the gutters and check the drains before winter begins to make the road safer.
What a wasted opportunity!
