Clevedon BID has appointed two new managers to drive the initiative forward.
Kate Cowdy and Laura Durrant, both local residents, have been given the shared role and are eager to introduce innovative ideas and foster continued growth in the community.
Ms Cowdy brings more than 16 years of experience in project and operational management in the UK and internationally.
She said: "I am particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve as the face of Clevedon BID.
"I look forward to advocating for local businesses, promoting engagement, and driving initiatives that support the town’s redevelopment and economic growth.
"Clevedon has immense potential to become an even more vibrant town, and I am eager to contribute to the vision set by the BID with my strategic insight and hands-on experience."
Ms Durrant, a former journalist who started her career with the Clevedon Mercury, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, PR and media law.
She has worked with charities such as The Great Western Air Ambulance and Secret World Wildlife Rescue to promote and grow awareness and will be responsible for the BID’s website, social media, and marketing.
She said: "I have lived in Clevedon since childhood, and I truly love this town.
"Often cited as the ‘hidden gem’ of the West Country, Clevedon has so much to offer, and I am very keen to use my skills and experience in marketing and promotions to ensure more people are aware of it, and come to visit."
Clevedon BID is a 250-business member partnership that aims to improve the shopping and hospitality areas of the town for the benefit of all through marketing and street improvements.
BID chairman Tom Vaughan said: "We are delighted to welcome Kate and Laura to the BID.
"Their arrival will give us the chance to re-evaluate what is working well and what areas of the BID could be further developed."
The two new additions are keen to hear what businesses want from the BID and are open to new ideas and comments.
Over the next few months, they will be visiting as many businesses as they can.
Those wanting to talk to them or arrange a meeting can email them at marketing@clevedonbid.com or business@clevedonbid.com.
