A free advice event is coming to Clevedon, helping residents save money on energy bills, and have warmer and more comfortable homes.
The Green Open Homes event, organised by Sustainable Clevedon, aims to assist homeowners in making energy-saving improvements, particularly in older properties.
On October 26 and November 9, various homes will be open to the public, displaying a range of energy-saving upgrades.
These include draught-proofing, floor, wall, and roof insulation, solar panels, water heating, heat recovery systems, smart meters, ventilation, air-source heat pumps, electric vehicle chargers, and batteries.
Homeowners will be available to discuss the installation, usage, and benefits of these technologies.
It is supported by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and funded by the South West Net Zero Hub, hosted by the West of England Combined Authority through the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator Programme.
For further information about the Clevedon Green Open Homes event, including opening times and locations, visit bristol.greenopenhomes.net or the Sustainable Clevedon Facebook page.
With a quarter of the UK’s carbon emissions coming from home energy use, the event presents an opportunity to save money and reduce carbon footprints.
As many households struggle with energy bills, finding ways to save energy has become increasingly urgent.
