RESIDENTS and guests at Cadbury Hall care home in Yatton enjoyed a night of grins with an in-house wine tasting that took place at the home.
Sampling from a selection of 6 different wines, residents were able to try the different flavours and learn the different notes and blends, including floral and fruity, to zesty, bitter and earthy combinations.
Whilst tasting the selection of wines, the residents learnt about the wine making process from growing the grapes through to how it gets to our shelves.
Many of the residents have visited vinyards in the past and were able to share insight on how different countries make their wines.
General manager, Audrene Abrigo said: “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day learning everything they could about wine.
“We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Cadbury Hall as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites.”
One resident said: “We had lots of fun trying all of the different wines- my favourite was definitely the pinot grigio rose as I have a sweet tooth.”
