Clevedon Air Cadets are holding a fundraising concert next month to support the purchase of much-needed equipment.

The Clevedon Squadron are organising the concert to showcase the talents of its cadets and raise crucial funds.

The cadets, aged 12 to 20, have a range of opportunities within the organisation, and they strive to give an insight into life within the Royal Air Force.

Among the various experiences are air experience flying, gliding, RAF station visits, drill discipline, first aid, learning principles of flight, survival skills, radio communications, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.

Adventure activities such as archery, kayaking and rifle shooting are also on the list.

The Squadron is hoping to buy a flight simulator, new tents and radios, and safety equipment for adventure sports.

They are also looking for financial support for the cadets and other resources.

The show of musical skills by individual cadets, performances by the Squadron Band, and the drill team are the highlights of the concert, which will take place on October 16 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Clevedon Community Centre, with doors opening at 7pm.

Portishead Squadron is also pitching in by contributing its own talented cadets in support of the Clevedon fundraising efforts.

The fundraiser will feature a variety of supporting acts, a raffle, and refreshments including cakes, biscuits, and drinks.

Tickets priced at £6 for adults, £3 for children, £15 for a family of four can be reserved through email on 1446events@gmail.com or purchased at the door.

For disabled individuals and their carers, it is £3 each.
