HOUSEBUILDER Newland Homes has been recognised for its commitment to at its latest North Somerset development in Claverham with an award.

The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards are prestigious industry awards for developments across England and Wales. They identify projects built to exceptionally high standards and individuals that go the extra mile in construction quality.

The North Field at Court de Wyck in Claverham has been rewarded with a LABC Warranty Site Recognition Award for the consistent quality of workmanship shown at the site.

This is the second time that site manager, Mark Holden, has won the award and the second time that praise has been given to the Court de Wyck development.

The brownfield regeneration project won the award in 2021, demonstrating that high standards continue to be maintained.

Mark comments: “All sites are scored by LABC surveyors during their inspection visits, which take place regularly throughout construction. “The assessment scores cover several different categories, including health and safety, site tidiness, standard of site management and the standard of workmanship.

“The high score is a great pat on the back for me and my team.”

The LABC Awards recognise the dedication and commitment it takes to deliver quality sites and site managers across the country are rewarded for their exceptional contribution to construction.

The LABC works with over 3,000 sites nationally and are only able to recognise a small number of sites and individuals with these awards.

The North Field at Court de Wyck is a development of 24 detached zero carbon houses and bungalows, all of which are powered by renewable technology.

The state-of-the-art homes are being built alongside the community previously created by Newland Homes during its regeneration of the former UTC Aerospace site on Bishops Road.
