Castle Batch Children's Centre hosted a special All Stars Cricket Event for five to eight-year-olds.
The fully-booked event took place on Tuesday, August 6.
It was organised by Somerset Cricket Foundation and North Somerset Council's children's centres team.
Many families brought their children to take part in the fun games and skill-building activities.
Councillor Catherine Gibbons, North Somerset Council’s executive member for children’s services, families and lifelong learning, said: "All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first cricketing experience for all children aged five to eight.
"It’s designed to introduce children to the sport, teach them new skills and help them make new friends."
She also thanked the staff who helped run the event and expressed her hope that all the young participants and their families enjoyed the day.
The councillor urged families to explore the range of activities offered by the council's children's centres.
Will Anning, a community coach from Somerset Cricket Foundation, added: "All Stars is a great experience for children to learn about all the skills we use in cricket in a fun environment.
"The event includes lots of different bowling, catching and throwing games to gain new skills.
"The children also get a free personalised t-shirt, and a wristband to show that they’ve participated.
"It’s a great free initiative within the community."
