A community choir in Nailsea has appointed a new leader.
Andrew Kirk will assume the mantle at the North Somerset Good Afternoon Choir from Ruth Jenkins, who has relocated.
Mr Kirk's takeover at the Nailsea Methodist Church will start on Wednesday, September 4 after the choir's summer break.
Mr Kirk is a freelance choral director, accompanist and composer/arranger within the Bristol and North Somerset area.
As a music veteran with a 30-year career, he has worked with various choirs and singers from a range of age groups.
Mr Kirk's career saw him lead the St Mary Redcliffe Church Bristol as the director of music for 20 years, a tenure that featured a live Christmas Day broadcast on BBC One.
Mr Kirk also presently dons the role of musical director with the Henbury Singers and often operates as an organ player and conductor at different churches on Sundays.
The North Somerset Good Afternoon Choir extends an open invitation to prospective members, with no auditions required.
Founder of the Good Afternoon Choirs, Grenville Jones, said: "Come along and start a new autumn singing hobby, singing is good for you."
Weekly meetings for prospective members to meet Mr Kirk and the choir are held at the Nailsea Methodist Church between 1pm and 3pm every Wednesday.
