NAILSEA Town Council is calling for volunteer organisations to take part in a volunteers fair in a bid to encourage new volunteers this September.

Volunteer organisations are being encouraged to take part in the fair to showcase their impact and attract new volunteers.

The event aims to highlight the diverse range of volunteering opportunities available in Nailsea and to foster a spirit of community engagement and support.

Described as a fantastic opportunity for volunteer organisations, the fair will provide them with the opportunity to network with other organisations, showcase their achievements and, most importantly, to engage with the community.

The Volunteers Fair is set to take place on Sunday, September 22, from 10am to 3pm at the Scotch Horn Leisure Centre.

Fun activities will take place throughout the day for both adults and children, along with complimentary refreshments being provided for all attendees.

Jo Duffy, Nailsea Town Council clerk, said: “Nailsea Town Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through various community initiatives and events.

“The volunteers fair is part of our ongoing efforts to support and celebrate the vital contributions of volunteers and community organizations to Nailsea.”

Nailsea Town Council are encouraging interested volunteer organisations to act quickly to secure their spot as spaces are limited and stalls will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Volunteer organisations interested in participating can secure a stand at the event by contacting Hayley Orchard at wellbeing@nailseatowncouncil.gov.uk.
