Nailsea Town Council is now accepting grant applications from local organisations and charities.
These grants, awarded by the council, are primarily intended to support the residents of Nailsea.
Local 'not for profit' groups, charities, and voluntary organisations are eligible to apply.
Groups based outside the council's area can still apply, but they must demonstrate direct benefits to Nailsea's residents.
The deadline for applications, complete with supporting documentation, is 5pm on September 30, to be considered for the financial year 2025-2026.
Payments will be made in April 2025.
Prior to application completion, the council advises all applicants to review 'Grant Process and Eligibility and Criteria forms' available on their website.
Nailsea Town Council clerk, Jo Duffy, said: "We are very pleased to open our grant applications to any qualifying organisation in Nailsea and look forward to receiving your submissions before the deadline on 30 September 2024."
In 2024, Nailsea Town Council awarded grants totalling over £62,596.
Beneficiaries included Christmas Tea Party 2024, Friends of Stockway North Nature Reserve, Artful Minds, Nailsea Playing Fields Association, and 2nd Nailsea Scouts, among others.
Grants were also awarded to Nailsea Little Theatre, Nailsea & District Horticultural Society, Nailsea Choral Society, and Nailsea Concert Orchestra, showcasing the diversity of groups supported.
In addition, successful applicants are required to fill the short Grant Evaluation Form, especially if they are previous grant beneficiaries.
The aim is to help the council assess the impact of the grant on various projects and on the local community.
Organisations interested in applying or requiring more information regarding the process are encouraged to visit the Nailsea Town Council Website: www.nailseatowncouncil.gov.uk/grants/.
